Shining Star Awards
Keystone Federal Credit Union is proud to present the Annual Shining Star Awards to recognize students who have shown a noticeable improvement in academic performance, extra-curricular involvement, attendance, and classroom conduct throughout the school year. Our First Annual Shining Star Awards were presented in 2008.
"Shining Star" winners will each receive a $200 share certificate of deposit and a trophy from Keystone FCU. Three students from each of the 12 Chester County Public School Districts, Twin Valley School District, and the Chester County Intermediate Unit win. Winners include one student from the elementary (K-5), middle (6-8), and high school (9-12) level from each district. Plus, the teacher of the winning student will receive a $200 gift certificate to a teacher supply store to stock up on classroom supplies.
Chester County Public School teachers can nominate their most improved student for the award. Each teacher is asked to write a paragraph nominating a student from one of their classes whom they feel embodies the spirit of this award. All nominated students will receive a certificate of recognition.
