Previous Fraud AlertsMarch 2010We have been getting reports of fraudulent phone calls to our members asking for debit and/or credit card information. We want to emphasize that Keystone will never ask for this information over the telephone. If you get a phone call of this nature, please disregard and contact the Federal Trade Commission at www.ftc.gov/phonefraud and the Credit Union. Thank you for your cooperation. March 2009We have recently received reports of a telephone text message alert scam. The fraudulent text message alert reads: "Keystone Federal Credit Union Alert: Your CARD has been DEACTIVATED." The text message then gives a telephone number to call to reactivate your card. This is not a legitamate text message and was not authorized by Keystone FCU. Keystone FCU does not send text message alerts. Please do not call the number provided in the text message alert. If you have received this fraudulent text message alert or any text alerts that say they are from the credit union, please notify your cell phone carrier so they may trace the origins of the text messages. You may also contact the Federal Trade Commission at www.ftc.gov/phonefraud and Keystone FCU at (484)356-0400. February 2009Keystone FCU has just been informed that a merchant card payment processor has experienced a network intrusion. This means that within the past month, there have been two separate merchant card processors which have experienced data breaches. Information from an undisclosed number of debit and credit cards has been compromised. There has not been a breach of information at Keystone FCU. However, anytime you use your debit or credit card to pay for merchandise, your information is sent through a merchant card processor. Each place of business uses a processor to charge your account. The data breaches occurred at the merchant card processor level. We have not yet determined the scope of the current breaches. If you have not been contacted, you may be contacted in the near future. We appreciate your patience as we work to reissue cards to those of you who have been affected by these breaches. Neither CUNA nor eZCardInfo would ever contact our members directly asking for account information. If you receive any of these emails, please delete them immediately!
